The twelve cards above are the whole Hostinger lineup as of October 8, 2026: two shared plans, two cloud plans, three VPS tiers, an n8n-ready VPS, agency hosting, the AI website builder, business email, and .com domains. Each card shows the intro price, the regular struck-through price, the term, the saving badge, and — the number most sites hide — the renewal rate.

Two notes on these numbers. First, every price is in USD from Hostinger’s US store, checked October 8, 2026 — the cards read from our price database, so when we re-verify, every page updates at once. Second, the ancillary fees in the hidden-costs section below are the only fixed extras we could verify with a date; anything else a checkout adds, like optional add-ons, is on you to spot — we check for pre-added add-ons on every cart test.

Hidden costs most sites don’t mention

The plan price is not always the whole bill. These are the extras we verified with dates:

• Domain renewal. The $0.01 first-year .com renews at $19.99/yr (checked October 8, 2026). Note that yearly-and-longer hosting plans include a free domain for the first year anyway — don’t pay for a domain separately if your plan already includes one.
• Email after year one. Hosting plans include mailboxes free for the first year; after that it’s $0.59/mo per mailbox on a 12-month term (checked October 8, 2026). If you run five mailboxes, budget for it in year two.
• Backups. Included, not extra — Premium carries free weekly backups, Unlimited carries daily backups with easy restore. No add-on needed.

What we did not find: no setup fees, no forced add-ons in our cart tests — the carts we tested on October 8, 2026 had no email add-on pre-added. If that ever changes, we will say so here. See exactly how we verify deals.

Hidden costs over 4 years: a worked example

Percentages are abstract; totals are not. Here is what four years on the Premium plan actually costs once you add the two extras almost everyone needs — a domain and one mailbox — using only the verified prices above (checked October 8, 2026):

• Hosting, 48 months intro: $2.99/mo × 48 = $143.52.
• Domain: free the first year with the plan, then $19.99/yr for years 2–4 = $59.97.
• One mailbox: free the first year, then $0.59/mo for 36 months = $21.24.
• Four-year total: $224.73 — about 57% more than the $143.52 hosting figure alone.

And year five is where the real jump lands: hosting alone renews at $10.99/mo, which is $131.88 for that year — nearly the entire four-year intro total, every single year. This is not a trick; it is how the pricing model works. Budget the renewal from day one and the intro price stays a genuine bargain.
