Every Hostinger comparison we publish lives here — each one built the same honest way.

How we compare (and why ours are different)

Most hosting comparisons compare intro prices — the number that matters least. Ours compare what you’ll actually pay and live with, side by side:

  • Renewal prices included, always. Every comparison puts the renewal rate next to the intro rate, because the second number is the real long-term price. A host that “wins” on intro and loses 3x on renewal doesn’t win.
  • Date-stamped numbers. Every price in every comparison carries its check date. Hosting prices move; a comparison without dates is a guess about the past.
  • Plan limits, not just prices. Websites, storage, backups, support channels — the constraints that decide whether a plan fits, priced in frustration when ignored.
  • Who it’s for, plainly stated. Every comparison ends with who should pick which host — including “neither” when that’s the honest answer.
  • Independent and disclosed. We’re not Hostinger, and we say so on every page: we earn a referral commission on first purchases through our links, at no cost to you. Read our affiliate disclosure and how we verify deals.

While the head-to-head comparisons below are being written, these three pages already give you the raw material every comparison is built from:

The five numbers that decide any hosting comparison

Strip every hosting comparison down to what actually changes your bill and your week. These are the five numbers we put in every table we publish:

  1. Intro total, not intro monthly. The monthly figure is the total divided by the term — the total is what leaves your account. Always compare totals over the same term length.
  2. Renewal rate. The price from year two (or three) onward. This single number decides more comparisons than everything else combined — a host that looks cheap and renews steep is the most expensive option on the page.
  3. Cost per site. Divide the renewal total by the number of websites the plan allows. A “cheap” single-site plan is often pricier per site than a mid-tier plan holding ten.
  4. Backup frequency and retention. Daily vs weekly backups, and how many restore points you get. You only care about this on the worst day of your year — which is exactly when it matters.
  5. Support channels and hours. Chat-only vs phone vs tickets, and whether humans answer at 3am. Price this in honestly: if your site earns money, slow support has a cost.

Run any two hosts through those five and the marketing falls away. That’s the entire method — no secret sauce, just the numbers most comparison sites leave out.

Why most comparison tables lie (a little)

Not by inventing numbers — by choosing which numbers to show. The classic tricks: comparing one host’s longest-term intro against another’s 12-month price; hiding the renewal column entirely; scoring “features” without weighting what matters (a free CDN you’ll never configure counts the same as daily backups); and declaring a winner before the reader’s use case is known. A comparison without a “who should pick which” section is an advertisement wearing a lab coat.

Our rule is simple: if a number would change your decision, it’s in the table. If it wouldn’t, it’s cut. That’s why our tables are shorter than most — and more useful.

How our comparisons work

They’re written in order of reader demand, with most landing around the Black Friday season when pricing matters most. The pricing, renewal and review pages above already contain every number the comparisons will use.

Always — it’s the core of our method. Every comparison shows intro vs renewal for both hosts, because the renewal rate is the price you live with. See how renewal pricing works for why this matters.

Yes. We’re not Hostinger and not any of the competitors. We earn referral commissions on first purchases through our links — disclosed on every page — but the verdicts are written from the numbers, not the payouts. Our Hostinger review names real weaknesses; the comparisons will too.

Yes — use the contact page and tell us which two hosts (or plans) you’re choosing between. Reader requests jump the queue.
