How to Login to Hostinger hPanel (2026)

To log in to Hostinger hPanel, go to hostinger.com, click Log In in the top-right corner, and enter the email address and password you used when you created your account. After logging in you land in hPanel — Hostinger’s custom control panel — where you manage hosting plans, domains, email, files, and databases. If you cannot remember your password, use the Forgot password link on the login page; the reset email usually arrives within a couple of minutes.

Step 1 — Open the hPanel login page

You have two ways in. The simplest is the main site: open hostinger.com in your browser and click Log In at the top right. That takes you to the account login page, which redirects into hPanel once your credentials are accepted.

The second way is the direct hPanel address: hpanel.hostinger.com. Bookmark this one — it skips the marketing site and drops you straight at the login form. Both routes end in the same place, so use whichever you remember.

One tip that saves people a lot of confusion: make sure you are on the real hostinger.com. Phishing emails that imitate hosting login pages are common; check the address bar for the correct domain and the padlock icon before typing your password anywhere.

Step 2 — Enter your account email and password

Type the email address you signed up with and your account password, then click Log In. This is your Hostinger account login — the same credentials you used at checkout — not your WordPress admin login and not your FTP password. Those are separate logins with separate passwords, which is the single most common source of “my password doesn’t work” frustration (more on that below).

If you signed up with Google, Facebook, or GitHub single sign-on, do not type a password at all: click the matching social button on the login page and approve the sign-in in the popup. If you later set a Hostinger password on top of social login, either method keeps working.

Step 3 — Complete two-factor authentication (if enabled)

If you turned on 2FA for your account, hPanel asks for a six-digit code after your password. Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, or similar), enter the current code for Hostinger, and you are in. Codes refresh every 30 seconds, so if one expires while you are typing, just wait for the next and enter that one.

Lost your authenticator? When you first enabled 2FA, Hostinger showed you a set of backup recovery codes — this is the moment they exist for. Enter one of those codes instead of the app code. If you never saved them, you will need to contact Hostinger support with proof of account ownership to have 2FA reset; keep a photo ID or the payment method details you used at signup handy, because support will ask for them.

hPanel login vs WordPress login vs FTP login — do not mix them up

Hostinger gives you several different logins, and they are not interchangeable:

  • hPanel login (hostinger.com): manages everything — plans, billing, domains, email accounts, files, databases. This is the one this guide covers.
  • WordPress admin login (yourdomain.com/wp-admin): manages your website’s content only. Its username and password were set during WordPress installation and are stored inside WordPress, not in your Hostinger account.
  • FTP / file manager credentials: used by FTP clients like FileZilla. The FTP username and password are shown in hPanel under Files → FTP Accounts and are different from your hPanel password by default.
  • Database credentials: the MySQL username and password shown in hPanel under Databases → Management, used by applications — never typed into a login page.

So when a login fails, first ask which login you are attempting. Nine times out of ten, the “wrong” password is simply the right password for a different one of these logins.

Forgot your hPanel password?

On the login page, click Forgot password? and enter your account email. Hostinger sends a reset link — check spam and promotions folders if it does not appear within five minutes, and make sure you are checking the inbox of the exact email address on the account. The link expires after a limited time, so use it promptly; if it expired, request a fresh one rather than retrying the old link.

Choose a new password that is at least 12 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols, and — this matters more than complexity tricks — do not reuse a password you use anywhere else. A password manager makes this painless.

Turn on 2FA if you have not already

Your hosting account controls your domains, email, and website files, which makes it a high-value target. Enabling two-factor authentication is the single biggest security upgrade available, and it takes two minutes: in hPanel, click your profile icon (top right) → Account Security (or Security) → enable Two-Factor Authentication, scan the QR code with your authenticator app, enter the test code, and — critically — save the backup recovery codes somewhere safe, like your password manager. Without those codes, a lost phone means a support ticket.

Troubleshooting common hPanel login problems

“Incorrect email or password.” First, confirm you are using the signup email — many people have two or three email addresses and try the wrong one. Try the password reset flow rather than guessing repeatedly: too many failed attempts can temporarily lock the login. Also check that Caps Lock is off and that your browser is not autofilling an old saved password — type it manually once to rule that out.

“I never received the reset email.” Wait five minutes, check spam, and verify the email address is the one on the account. If you signed up via Google/Facebook/GitHub, there may be no password on the account at all — use the social login button instead of the reset flow.

“The page keeps looping back to login.” This is usually a cookie or cache problem. Clear cookies for hostinger.com, try a private/incognito window, or switch browsers. Aggressive ad-blockers and privacy extensions occasionally break the login flow too — temporarily disabling them for hostinger.com is a legitimate diagnostic step.

“My account is locked / too many attempts.” Wait 15–30 minutes and try once more with the correct credentials, or go straight to the password reset. Repeated guessing only extends the lockout.

“I bought hosting but hPanel says I have no services.” You are almost certainly logged into the wrong account — usually a second account created accidentally with a different email during checkout. Log out and try your other email addresses, or search your inboxes for Hostinger’s welcome and invoice emails to identify the right one.

FAQ

What is the direct hPanel login URL?

hpanel.hostinger.com takes you straight to the login form. Alternatively, click Log In on hostinger.com — both land in the same control panel.

Is hPanel the same as cPanel?

No. hPanel is Hostinger’s own custom-built control panel; cPanel is a third-party panel used by many other hosts. They do the same job (managing hosting, domains, email, files) but the menus and layout are different, so cPanel tutorials will not map one-to-one onto hPanel.

Can I stay logged in to hPanel?

Yes — tick “Remember me” on the login page on a private device. Do not use it on shared or public computers, and always log out when finished on any device you do not own.

Why does hPanel ask me to log in again so often?

Sessions expire for security, especially after periods of inactivity. If it happens constantly within minutes, clear your browser cookies for hostinger.com or try a different browser — corrupted session cookies are the usual cause.

Next steps

Once you are inside hPanel, the real work begins. If you just bought hosting, install WordPress with the 1-click installer to get a site running in minutes, then install the free SSL certificate so your site loads over HTTPS. And if you are still deciding on a plan, our Hostinger pricing breakdown shows what each tier actually costs over four years, renewal prices included.
