Hostinger runs data centers on four continents — North America, South America, Europe, and Asia — and you pick your server location when you set up your hosting. The exact list below comes from Hostinger’s own server-locations support article, updated in September 2026, so it reflects the current lineup rather than the outdated lists still floating around the web.
The full 2026 list, by plan type
Hostinger does not offer the same locations on every plan. The available data centers depend on what you buy, so check the list for your plan type before you assume a location exists.
Web and cloud hosting plans (the widest choice):
- Europe: France, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom
- Asia: India, Indonesia, and Malaysia
- North America: USA — Phoenix, Boston, and Asheville
- South America: Brazil
VPS plans (including KVM and Game Panel hosting):
- Europe: France, Germany, Lithuania, and the United Kingdom
- Asia: India, Indonesia, and Malaysia
- North America: USA — Phoenix and Boston
- South America: Brazil
Note the two exceptions: the Netherlands and Asheville (USA) are available for web and cloud plans only, not for VPS.
Agency hosting plans (a shorter list): Germany (Frankfurt), India (Mumbai), USA (Phoenix and Boston), Brazil, and the United Kingdom.
cPanel hosting (legacy, existing users only): Lithuania and the United Kingdom, India, USA, and Brazil.
One more thing worth knowing: many older blog posts list Singapore as a Hostinger location. Singapore does not appear in Hostinger’s current official list — Malaysia and Indonesia are the Southeast Asia options now. If a review you are reading still shows Singapore, its data center list is out of date.
Why server location matters
Every time someone visits your site, their browser sends a request to your server and waits for the response. The farther that signal has to travel, the longer the wait — this is latency, and physics sets a hard floor on it. A visitor in London loading a site hosted in London will always get a faster first response than the same visitor loading a site hosted in Singapore, all else being equal.
Does it matter enough to care? For most small sites, the difference between a good and a bad location choice is measured in tens to a few hundred milliseconds. That sounds tiny, but it stacks on top of everything else your page loads, and it is most noticeable for visitors on the opposite side of the planet from your server. If your audience is concentrated in one country or region, hosting near them is one of the simplest speed wins available — no plugins, no code changes, just a better default.
There is also a secondary consideration: data residency. Some businesses — particularly in the EU — prefer or are required to keep customer data inside a particular jurisdiction. Picking a European data center keeps your site’s data on European soil, which simplifies that conversation.
How to choose your data center at setup
Hostinger asks you to select a server location during the initial setup of your order, right after checkout. The rule of thumb is simple: pick the location closest to the majority of your visitors.
- US audience: Phoenix, Boston, or Asheville (web/cloud); Phoenix or Boston (VPS).
- UK or Western Europe audience: United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, or Germany.
- Eastern Europe: Lithuania — Hostinger’s home turf.
- India or South Asia: India.
- Southeast Asia: Indonesia or Malaysia.
- Brazil or South America: Brazil.
- Global or unsure: pick the location nearest your largest audience segment, then let the CDN (below) handle the rest.

Can you change the data center later?
Yes — with caveats that depend on your plan:
- Web and cloud hosting: you can move your plan to another server from the Plan Details page in your Hostinger dashboard.
- VPS: the server location is fixed after initial setup. The workaround is to back up your VPS and reinstall it on a different data center.
- Agency hosting: changing the server location after setup is not available yet.
Two warnings straight from Hostinger’s documentation: data center availability can change without notice, and the final list is whatever the dashboard shows you during setup or transfer — not what any blog post (including this one) says. Also, locations are subject to capacity constraints, so if you move away from a location you may not be able to move back to it later. Our advice: choose carefully at setup and treat a later move as a fallback, not a plan.
What if your country is not on the list?
Plenty of regions have no Hostinger data center — Africa, Oceania, Japan, and the Middle East, for example. Hostinger’s answer is its CDN, which serves your site’s static content from edge locations closer to those visitors. Per Hostinger’s own article, the CDN operates in additional locations including Johannesburg (South Africa), Japan, and Sydney (Australia).
A CDN does not eliminate the latency to your origin server entirely — dynamic requests still travel back to the data center — but it removes a large share of the distance penalty for images, CSS, JavaScript, and cached pages. If your audience is split across continents with no single dominant region, the practical setup is: origin server near your biggest audience, CDN switched on for everyone else. FAQ
How many data centers does Hostinger have?
Counting distinct countries and cities across plan types, Hostinger lists locations in the USA (Phoenix, Boston, Asheville), Brazil, France, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia — plus CDN edge locations in Johannesburg, Japan, and Sydney. The exact set available to you depends on your plan.
Which Hostinger data center is fastest for the US?
Any of the three US locations — Phoenix, Boston, or Asheville — will serve a US audience well. Pick the one geographically closest to most of your visitors: Boston for the East Coast, Phoenix for the West.
Does Hostinger have servers in Singapore?
Not according to Hostinger’s current official list (updated September 2026). Older articles mention Singapore, but the present Southeast Asia options are Indonesia and Malaysia.
Can I host my site in Europe for GDPR reasons?
Yes — choose France, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, or the UK at setup to keep your server inside Europe.
Will Hostinger add more locations?
Possibly; Hostinger notes that availability is subject to change. The reliable move is to check the live list in your dashboard at signup rather than relying on any article’s snapshot.
Can I change my Hostinger server location after setup?
On web and cloud hosting plans, yes — you can move each website to another data center from the Plan Details page, subject to capacity. VPS locations are fixed at setup, so moving one means backing up and reinstalling in the new location; agency hosting does not support location changes yet.
Which data center should I choose if my visitors are in Asia?
Hostinger’s Asian locations are India, Indonesia, and Malaysia on web, cloud, and VPS plans. Pick the one closest to most of your visitors — an Indian audience gets the lowest latency from the India location, while Southeast Asian visitors are better served from Indonesia or Malaysia.
Does Hostinger have a data center in Australia or Japan?
Not as a direct server location. Hostinger’s CDN covers additional edge locations including Japan, Sydney, and Johannesburg, so visitors in those regions still get cached content served nearby even though the origin server sits elsewhere.
Does the Hostinger country website I buy from change my server location?
No. The localized site you check out on does not determine where your server lives — you choose the data center during plan setup. Buying through a regional Hostinger site only changes currency and language, not the location of your hosting.
What if my preferred data center is full?
Locations are subject to capacity, so a data center can occasionally be unavailable for new setups. If that happens, choose the next-closest location and enable the CDN, which narrows the latency gap for distant visitors.
Next steps
Server location is a five-minute decision with long-lived consequences, so make it deliberately: match the data center to your audience, double-check the live list in the Hostinger dashboard at checkout, and switch on the CDN if your visitors span multiple continents. Get that right on day one and you will never have to think about it again.
